Introduction: At Moonshine Ranch we use the true non commercialized version of natural horsemanship. Simply put we base our training on the natural movements, actions, and reactions of each horse as an individual for fast amazing results that last! Every so often we get that "untrainable" horse that every other trainer has given up on and made worse. Taking a horse like that and turning it into a horse that loves its job is still amazing to me. Just working with and understanding these wonderful animals is a reward and a gift.

I personally had a horse trained by Jeremy for the last 2 years. Of course the first year was 90 days and then I regularly get my horse tuned up every fall and spring. When I first inquired about JLS Horse Training Jeremy told me that he spends just over about hour with each horse everyday which I was fine with. I learned that it wasn't true. He actually spends three to four hours depending on the horse with each of them. The patience and bond he gets with each horse is remarkable. It truely is a passion for him. He has fixed many quarks in my horse that I myself never even knew was happening. One of my favorite things he has taught my horse is if I ned to adjust in the saddle or if I even start to slip my horse stops instantly. The other thing is the hands on experience he gives to each and every customer to make sure they are riding right and to make sure they know all the ends and outs of what he taught the horse during their training experience. The other thing is there is minimal arena training basically ground work and desensitizing. Other then that the horse is outside going through anything you can imagine. Stuff I would have never even thought to take my horse through. Rain, sleet, snow, ice ect it doesn't matter they go through and he rides through it. I think what I am trying to say is JLS Horse Training is the best training facility that I have ever found and the work is gauranteed with more then the results u expected. Trust me don't choose just any back yard trainer to save you some money because in the long run when you get your horse back from them you will see you didn't get what you expected and then you are searching for another trainer and spending more and more money to have it done right. And for the quality of work you get from Jeremy trust me he doesn't charge near enough. But like I said I have seen it is his true passion.

Well, we had an adventure from hell but thanks to Jeremy our horses came out nearly unscathed. Went to camp w/him & his family and ended up living thru the most horrific July 1st storm ever. Only one of our horses got a log to the head and none of the others nor people got hurt. Someone was definitely looking over us all!! The horses handled the storm so well and though we did not get to camp and ride our 5 day vacation, we definitely noticed a difference in both of them as to their confidence, handling and mental growth. They were both broke young, ridden very little and then sent to pasture for years. We were just bringing them back into training and wanted some time on them and lots of desensitizing done. Jeremy did a great job with them in the 25 days he had them and we are looking forward to a fall ride with the family again once the colors are out and the trails are cleaned up! Thanks to the local FD's who rescued us!!!

in 2008 I purchased an Arabian broodmare who had not been ridden in close to 15 years. This mare came back to me trusting, willing and reliable enough to put grandchildren on her back in just 30 days. Not only that she even bowed!! Jeremy's ability to gain, restore or build confidence and trust as he trains is terrific.

I just got 2 of our horses back from Jeremy (this is the first time we have worked with him.....but it won't be the last!) and they both had 30 days on them. I went out riding with Jeremy on one of my horses about half way thru her training, it was amazing the trail she was able to go thru without any problems. I liked the fact that Jeremy was in contact with me and kept me informed about how everything was going. I know that Jeremy has spent as much time with my horses that he says he did and it was probably even more. I will tell anyone I know looking for a trainer to go to him, I am completely satisfied with the results that I have recieved. Thanks Jeremy!!! Hank

Jeremy worked with two of our young geldings last summer and did a very nice job with them in just 30 days for one and 60 days for the other..a saddlebred/Arab cross that we wanted a little more time with. We would recommend his abilities.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
You bet!!! Every day I learn something new. Every horse is an individual and no two are exactly alike. I have had horses that were so far out of the norm I have had to adjust the program and my thinking just for that one horse. What works for one doesn't always work for others.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Horses were a big part of my life growing up. They're in my blood and it is a passion. I truly love working with these wonderful animals! This is what I was meant to do.
