Do not shop on price! The best price is not always the best choice, not all Santas are created equal. Require an authentic presentation, avoid the imitation seek out a true entertainer. Demand an experienced believable performer with knowledge of the character and skill in presenting him. not just a guy in a cheap red suit. Stay away from individuals with fake wig and beard sets they purchased from cheap costume sites on the web. This hair is fake so of course they look fake, no one will believe they are Santa. Hire the performer with the natural beard or the guy with a high end yak hair designer beard that is required to be glued to the face. In either case the performers beard and hair should be well cared for, clean and styled to perfection. Look for performers sporting quality luxurious red suits with deep piled white fur, real leather boots, a leather belt with a brass buckle, real authentic period gold frame glasses and remember to look for the twinkle in their eyes. Avoid those wearing cheap costumes with plastic belts and boot covers over street shoes. Wire costume glasses with no lenses. Ask to see a recent background check. You may also wish to ask for references. Hire from a legitimate company who will require high standards from their performers and make certain they are maintained. Be sure who you are allowing near your children and guests. Always be vigilant never leave any entertainer alone with your children. As I said never leave any entertainer alone with your children.
