We really struck gold with the tutor we found for our son, who was preparing for the ACT while being homeschooled. Over two years, she helped him with math, language, and science. Given his struggles with attention and dyslexia, her patience was nothing short of amazing. She not only supported his learning but also instilled excellent study habits and a strong sense of accountability. She was patient yet persistent, always ensuring that he completed his studies. She frequently sent follow-up messages and kept in touch with me to make sure he was on track to meet the objectives she set for him. Initially, we were hoping he might hit a 28 on the ACT, which would have covered 75% of a Bright Futures Scholarship. But wow, did he exceed our expectations or what? Welcome Kit: Following our discussion, I send a welcome email that includes all necessary links for joining the classroom and participating in tutoring sessions. Academic Tutoring: Preparation: Students are encouraged to send all their work to me before each class. This allows me to prepare thoroughly, ensuring we can focus on review and practice during the session. Session Follow-up: After each class, I provide all class notes in a PDF file, which is sent to both the student and the parent, ensuring everyone is kept in the loop.
