Dan's a true pro in every sense of the word. The best part of my experience with him (and it was ALL outstanding) was his ability to incorporate our vision of the finished product into reality - and his final cut exceeded all of our expectations. He was patient, punctual, and impeccably prepared for the shoot. On top of all that, he's a very kind and personable guy. Dan will definitely be our go-to for future projects - highest recommendation!!
Dan was quick to respond to my request, timely in arriving for the shoot and did a superb job of set up. The result was a terrific video that I will use for a workshop that I am presenting.

I was very skeptical about spending the money on a videographer for our wedding. I am so glad I found Dan at Dude Oyster Productions. He was wonderful!!!! He was there to capture every important moment but he always seemed to be in the background, not overtaking the wedding :) The DVD is absolutely wonderful! He seemed to capture every little detail, from the ceremony to the reception. The detail that went into this DVD is priceless! If you are debating spending the extra money on a videographer, call Dan. It is an awesome investment and can never be replaced. I am 200% satisfied with the finished product!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Video production can really have a wide range of pricing. There are a lot of factors that affect the price: How many cameras? Audio? Lighting? Length of the edited video(s)? I consult with the customer to figure out their needs and hopefully figure out a solution within their budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step would be to consult with them to figure out their production needs and to offer suggestions. After I have an idea of their needs, I can give an accurate quote.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Western Illinois University where I majored in broadcasting. I've worked various jobs in video production since 2003, including an ABC news affiliate, Comcast Cable, and most recently as an independent contractor with my own company, Dude Oyster Productions.
