Introduction
I believe in prompt, honest, and reliable service. There are no hidden charges and all pricing is settled before any work begins. If the window blind can not be repaired then I will not charge you for that repair. I believe in good communication and education in letting the customer know how to prevent other potential window blind mishaps. And to promote proper window treatment use. What I like most about my job is the interaction with others in the community. To be able to repair any window blind mishaps and thus save the customer from buying an expensive window blind replacement.

Window Blinds Repair

I bought a large lot of used solar shades on the understanding that the original manufacturer would be willing to resize and repair them and then found out that manufacturers will only do that for the original owners, probably so that they can sell new blinds instead of keeping older ones going. Uggh. I dug around and found Dan the Blind Man online. He assured me that he could resize the blinds and repair or replace any broken cords or roller clutch mechanisms for a very reasonable price. My installation site is an hour out of Denver so I assumed I'd be doing the install on my own, but Dan the Blind Man told me that he was more comfortable doing the resizing cuts on site so that he could confirm measurements and make any final adjustments on the spot. He worked around my schedule and showed up exactly when he said he would. It was a big job, six hours total with both of us working on it, but Dan the Blind Man was able to keep a good attitude and good energy going throughout the install. His work was precise and his attention to detail was excellent. When he found a few manufacturing defects in a couple of the blinds he knew some tricks of the trade to adjust and hide the defects. His total price for parts and labor was more than fair. Now my entire loft is decked out with commercial grade solar shades for a fraction of the cost of new. I can fully recommend Dan the Blind Man for your blind installation and repair needs. He's a thoughtful intelligent guy and can definitely work some problem-solving magic on your shade install.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You should always ask for a price up front and a scheduled time? The contractor should be flexible to your needs and time. You should also ask if the contractor is licensed and insured? Never accept anyone who is not licensed and insured? You should also feel free to ask the contractor to what extent is their expertise and what type of window treatments have they worked with.
