Introduction
Originally from the UK, I'm now based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I provide images with imagination for a very diverse spread of client needs that include lifestyle, portraits, products, headshots, engagements, weddings, and other events.
I work with start-ups, corporate clients, video production companies, and private individuals, producing images that range from portraits to share with friends and families to global advertising campaigns for multinational brands.
The following is a note about headshots and portraits:
If you need a headshot or portrait and don't want to travel to a studio, I can come to your home or office with a mobile studio setup and capture your photos in a surrounding that is familiar to you.
If you are at your home, it means that you also have your whole wardrobe and accessories available to you during the shoot.
There is no extra charge for this service. I've worked in advertising and design all my life.
I have lived and worked in the UK, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
I currently service clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, the rest of the US, and international destinations.
So when you need your next image(s), consider having them sprinkled with a little "roijoy," so that you can become the proud owner of some images with imagination.
I have an expert level of retouching and image manipulation skills.
Have your images straight out of the camera or succumb to the lure of all that is digitally possible; it's your choice.
How much does it all cost? Usually, it's less than you expected.
For all assignments, once we agree on the price. The quality of the work is consistent with all that I produce.
I do have a reputation to protect; you know.

My experience with Roi at Roijoy Photography was amazing. I've shot with many photographers around the Bay Area and have never encountered a pro that was so diverse and talented as his. Rarely, I find a photographer who can photograph apparels, lifestyle, fashion and editorial images well, as well as advanced editing with Photoshop. Simply saying that Roijoy Photography is amazing would be an understatement. He is absolutely phenomenal!
I really admire the fact that he is extremely creative, professional, and considerate. He takes the time to listen and deliver what I want as a professional, high end e-commerce website. After getting back my images, I was overwhelmed with the results!!
You know you have a great photographer when he gives you images that makes you want to say "wow!" I highly recommend him!

Roi Brooks met me through friends at S.F.S.U.'s English M.A. program and almost immediately volunteered his services on my behalf despite having heard only a brief description of my rather unique situation. This since 2008 for some reason involved my willful and entranced construction, often in stricken conditions, of a sort of bonsai Hagia Sofia only not in Istanbul/Constantinople and dedicated to the single Dad -- in my view the most extraordinary sculpturally worked and painted installation now in existence or something close, such also cleverly disguised as a tiny apartment. What Brooks has achieved in his collaboration with me on this still confidential project required an entirely trusted benevolent presence, also, making no mistake of it, that frankly magical talent -- neutral when it had to be, otherwise somehow at once ostentatious and subtle, adequately capturing an exhibit which I feared to be beyond even the foremost scions of photography. Our 423sf of tightly configured subject space at times demanded of Brooks nothing less than the sort of artistic contortionism crucial/axiomatic in creating what occurred in it. This is also, I know, to say not remotely enough of Roi Brooks' imperious grasp of various aspects of the fine arts world, that world and this world generally, also a teachably felt understanding of core principles of physical strength, flexibility, and health. It may be that I have Roi Brooks to thank primarily for a new wave of gallery interest. In my view his photography implies an improbable knack for unusually refined often still quick decisions on where to go next with what expanse or detail and how to do it. Such is exerting a defining influence on up to four forthcoming books of my art.
