What is health coaching? Health coaching is a unique, exciting innovation in health and nutrition. As a certified health coach, I have studied all the major dietary theories, and will help you discover what approach works best for you at this point in your life. Rather than dwelling on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions, and lists of good and bad foods, I will work with you to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline. No one diet works for everyone. I will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. I will also help you to make gradual, lifelong changes that enable you to reach your current and future health goals. Your personalized 6-month program will radically improve your health and happiness. Together, we will explore concerns specific to you and your body, and discover the tools you need for a lifetime of balance. You will: * Set and accomplish goals * Explore new foods * Understand and reduce cravings * Increase energy * Feel better in your body * Improve personal relationships Food changes everything. As your daily diet changes, your body changes and your happiness improves. Imagine what your life would be like if you had clear thinking, energy and excitement every day! "When I signed up with Ashley in May 2011, I weighed 160lbs, was eating Sharkey's bbq pizza for dinner 3-4 times a week, and had no exercise routine. My husband and I used the stove to cook only oatmeal and eggs. Six months later, I am down to 148lbs, eating at home most of the time, and working out at the YMCA 3 times a week. My cholesterol and blood sugar levels dropped significantly. I learned how to get all of my nutrients, including protein, from a plant-based whole foods diet. Ashley taught me to not be afraid of green leafy vegetables, garbanzo beans and many other healthy foods. I am cooking with spices I’ve never heard of before and loving it! Cooking is fun, not scary!
