Kirsten has been an incredible chef for our very busy family. Her service has transformed our evenings from rushing around and hoping to find some store-bought, packaged meal in the freezer to "cook" into evenings where we still rush around but now easily pop a healthy, delicious meal into the oven or microwave! It really has lowered our stress and lets us enjoy our evenings with our 3 young children - all of whom love Chef Kirsten's meals! (Seriously, is there any bigger compliment than a 4-year-old enjoying his dinner EVERY night?) Kirsten has been very receptive to feedback and has introduced us to a variety of foods we've never had before. She also accommodates different preferences - making spicy and non-spicy versions of certain meals to please everyone in the family. Each week, she emails the menu in advance so we can customize accordingly, and leaves clear instructions for how to reheat each meal. We're very happy to have found her and would recommend her to anyone!

Kirsten is amazing - I hired her in April 2016 and she has been cooking for my family every week since then (nearly 6 months). There is so many things to love. Her food is delicious and she cooks whatever we want every week - sometimes its vegan, sometimes its paleo, sometimes its traditional, sometimes its international, non-dairy, gluten free - she can do anything and the food is delicious. Usually we request a combination of these and she does a great job with that variety. We request organic, farm to table and she accommodates that. She also keeps the dinners to 300-400 cal/dinner. All the food is individually packaged for portions and labeled for easy reheat for my kids (my husband and I both work and my teenagers are both in sports --- so everyone needs to eat at different times). We agree on the menu a day or two in advance and she comes every Tuesday morning and cooks from 8am-12n while we are all gone. The kitchen is sparkling clean when she leaves (and smells amazing!). Her prices are VERY reasonable for the service. I highly recommend her.

I have used Kirsten several times for personal chef services and she is fabulous. She always comes up with inventive and healthy menus for our family. Every dish is delicious and she customizes each menu based on dietary preferences and needs, and she is always very professional and friendly! Kirsten is the best!

I can't say enough good things about Kirsten. Honestly, having her cook for our family has been life-changing. I spent MANY hours each week planning meals, shopping for meals, and cooking meals. This burden has been lifted from my shoulders and lets me focus on running my small business (and other things in my life).On top of that, we are eating WAY better than ever before. She makes incredibly fresh, delicious, and nutritious meals for us. We FEEL better when we eat her meals. And they are so yummy, I can't wait to sit down and eat her cooking. And when I say fresh... I mean FRESH. She goes to special stores to find the freshest seafood. She roasts fresh garlic in my oven to add into soups she makes for us. And many other time-consuming things that I would NEVER have time to do.And guess what? She cleans up everything before she leaves. My kitchen is spotless. She even cleaned up a bunch of spilled almond milk from my son in the refrigerator that she had nothing to do with... which brings me to the last thing I want to share. Kirsten is a super kind and considerate person. She always shows up with a smile, and is so kind to everyone in my family. Every week when she is here, I am just SO grateful. Grateful to have the burden of cooking removed from my life. Grateful to have healthy, delicious food. And grateful to have someone as nice as Kirsten in our lives.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    The most common service I provide is a weekly meal service. This is where I come into your home and prepare 10 dishes for the week. I bring all of the equipment needed, prepare the meals, package the meals with re heating instructions, and clean up. For some of my clients I will also include meals packaged by portions with the calorie and nutritional content labels with dish. The second service I provide is preparing meals for a small party, formal or not. I will work with you to plan the menu, cost, and set up for the event you are planning. I have provided people with Thai dishes, Seafood dinners, and so on. Please contact me and we can discuss how I can help you with your culinary needs.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Common questions on how a personal chef service works: 1. Can I afford A Personal Chef? People of various backgrounds hire Personal Chefs from various reasons. A Personal chef is much more affordable than you may think. Consider the money you spend on wasted groceries, expensive take out or processed foods. The amount of time spent going to the store or take out restaurant. The time spent going to the grocery store then realizing you do not have the time to prepare the meals you had planned on. You save time and money! 2. Do I Need To Be Home When You Are Cooking? No, you don’t. In most cases my clients are working while I’m in the home preparing meals. 3. Where do you shop? This depends on the client and the menu I am happy to shop at more then one store. ALso I am happy to shop at your favorite market or specialty store upon request. Otherwise I visit various grocery stores, farmers markets, etc. to find the freshest, highest quality and best priced ingredients available. 4.Are you licensed and insured? Yes!
