Misha Schmiedecke was my head shot photographer this past month. As a theater/film actress I was looking for a wide variety of shots and she definitely delivered, in fact I had so many great photos, it was hard to choose which were the best! We met at her studio for an hour long session at a reasonable price. During the session she made me feel comfortable by encouraging me to play my own music and helping me pick out the best outfits for the shoot. She gave me great feedback during the shoot by teaching me angles that are most flattering and truly showed her artistic talent by pushing me to find character and emotion. All in all, my experience was so memorable! I will continue to use Misha for any photography session I am looking to do in the future and telling all my actor friends who they should go see for their next head shot session.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take online classes regularly to brush up on Photoshop techniques for color correction and effects as well as Videography technique. I also do my own photo shoots at home experimenting with lighting and subject matter in different contexts. I'm always working on new things and keeping up with current trends.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been the photographer in the family. Always forcing people to get together for fun group pics, and capturing candid moments. Then it grew to friends and family, and then others. Soon everyone was asking me to capture their life on film. And I truly enjoy it!
