What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a consultation first, so that I know what the customer is looking for. This is also when I discuss my quote and adjust it, depending on the exact service needed. This can be over the phone, or simply before we shop or I apply makeup. Either way, it is very important to me to make sure that I know each customer's needs, and that we can discuss options.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always taking new online courses for fashion and beauty, and write for my own personal style blog. I'm very up to date.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was the total opposite of a fashionista, or beauty expert, when I was younger. I knew that I enjoyed writing, but it wasn't until I worked at a Boston-based NBC affiliate in college and wrote about fashion and beauty that I found my passion. I learned a lot over the years!
