- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Client Contact ~ Phone or internet contact, asking a few questions and setting up a meeting to discuss if I'm what a client is looking for as a personal trainer, life coach or fitness nutritional specialist. 2) Meeting Day ~ Client meets me at the gym, or designated location, We talk about their interests, concerns and if it's the client feels comfortable to commit to working with me on a month to month basis than we set up a schedule, discuss fees, I give them a NEW CLIENT intake forms to take with them and fill out, SIGN LIABILITY WAIVER, collect payment and depending if it's at the gym, than they would also pay for gym membership and sign gym's waiver as well. 3) If at the gym, I would do a walk through of the facility. 4) It would be the first scheduled day of training. ON that day I'd have the client do a strength test and cardio endurance test as well as a reach test, to see their over all fitness levels so I could assess what type of training program I'd be creating for them. 5) Would be our first day of training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every year I take 20-30 continued education credits to support my certification, including FIRST AID, CPR, and AED training. It is mandatory that professional like myself stay updated on the latest information provided in such a growing field of study. What was know 20 years ago in health and fitness is totally obsolete on so many levels. So I love taking new classes for the benefits of my clients as well as I'm a geek, and love to keep learning.
