FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We specialize in rekeying locks. Anytime there is a change of ownership of a property, the locks should be rekeyed. Sometimes, we are asked to rekey a home or business because a key has been lost or stolen. Basically, locks should be rekeyed any time you cannot account for any and all keys as a means of re-establishing some level of key control. Altic Lock Service also repairs locks and deadbolts. If a lock is not functioning correctly, it should be repaired or, if need be, replaced. When a lock fails, it may leave you locked in or out of your home or business. Waiting until a lock actually fails is usually a more expensive proposition. Altic Lock Service installs locks, deadbolts, and an array of other door hardware, including: jamb reinforcement, latch guards, door closers, exit hardware, door viewers, sliding door locks, door edge reinforcement, hinge jamb pins, and other break-in prevention accessories.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When we service your locks, we check for proper deadlatch and bolt operation. We frequently find improper lock installations have defeated security features built into locks, even in new construction. Hire a professional locksmith to ensure the greatest security for you and your property. In Indiana, locksmiths are not licensed. Any locksmith representing their self as "licensed" is either not local or intentionally misrepresenting their credentials. Many companies prey on individuals in emergency situations, especially when locked out of their car, home, or business. Find a reputable, local locksmith that you can call in an emergency situation before an emergency occurs.
