Introduction
I have been professionally trained in photography--it's not something I just picked up one day and decided to take a shot at. I have a degree in it. I don't over-enhance my photos either; I keep them looking natural and beautiful, because when you capture important moments, you want to remember them how they were, not how your photographer thought they should look. I love working with people. I love finding out their stories, learning about their interests, and then capturing their personalities. To me, people are beautiful, and my favorite part about photography is capturing that beauty.

I've worked with Kristin several times. I modeled for a couple different shoots, and I was always impressed with her innovative ideas and how fun the shoot itself was! She also did my engagement and bridal photos, and I couldn't be happier with them! She did a great job of capturing me and my husband's personalities and relationship, the editing was awesome, and she had really good ideas for locations for the shoots. During both the engagement and bridal shoots, we were cursed with horribly windy and gross weather, and I was nervous about how the photos would turn out. Thanks to Kristin's amazing shooting and editing skills, the photos looked AWESOME. I had a hard time choosing which photo to use on our wedding announcement, because I love them all! Next time I'm in Utah, I plan on doing a Trash the Dress session with Kristin. I trust her completely for all my photography needs, and would recommend her to anyone.

Kristin took our Bridals and our experience was awesome! She wasn't awkward or uncomfortable to be around, she made the atmosphere fun and was very detail oriented! I completely trusted her judgement and when she asked us to pose or move different ways, I knew it would be for the benefit of the pictures. She was able to find beauty in our surroundings that accentuated our photos. We were very impressed with her professionalism and her creativity. She was mindful of what we were looking for and what we had suggested and she turned our simple ideas into timeless treasures. We would recommend her as a photographer to anyone we know!!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do NOT hire amateur photographers. These days, with the easy accessibility to nice cameras, everyone is starting a photography business. I know your Uncle Lou might have just bought a fancy new SLR and is offering to do your newborn's photos for ridiculously cheap, but 9 times out of 10, you will regret it! I know too many people who have had their friend or family member do important photos (ie-newborn, engagement, even wedding) and they have ended up regretting it because, despite the fact that that person had a nice camera, they just didn't know what they were doing. Don't cheap out on the memories of life's precious moments. I'm sure that Uncle Lou would rather be a little disappointed that you chose a professional over him than feel bad that he ruined your photos.
