How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a pro for a longtime, but decided at the age of 15 that photography was a career option for me. I started out by giving slide shows of climbing and skiing trips which opened my eyes to the possibilities of combining my love of photography with the harsh realities of life, earning a living.
What types of customers have you worked with?
By sheer numbers, I shoot more sporting events than anything else. As the Team Photographer for the Spokane Chiefs, Spokane Shock, Spokane Riverhawks, Spokane Braves, and numerous others, I shoot my share of action! Sports is followed closely by Weddings, Seniors, Family and maternity, and a huge amount of Modeling shoots for a variety of clients.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I just completed a year long project of photographing hockey at all levels of the sport for a major exhibition. The project involved shooting games at all level of play around the world, from little kids to high school, university, through the Juniors, the Pros including AHL and NHL and at the Olympics.
