FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
ForeverScanning has individual prices depending on the image type. We love helping you get ALL of your photos digitized. That is why paper photos of 100 or more are only at .19 each! 100 photos is about 1 inch of stacked photos. Most people have way more than that, so gathering photos is easy. Less than 100 photos is a flat rate of $20. Call about pricing if pictures are brought in albums (removable and non removable). Slides and Negatives are .67 each. Price lowers for orders over 250 and 500 to .57 and .47. Date and name tagging included! Photo Restoration is about $25-55 depending on the time it takes to restore the image. Our photo restoration specialist can take a look at your photo (snap it as a text) and give a good estimate. I place the digital images on up to 5 DVD-R's for FREE! Or, bring your own thumb drive or buy from my supply if you prefer this method. Payment plans are available. Please give me a call and we can discuss your family's needs :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A new customer contacts me to let me know what type of images they have, what they want done with them and when they like them done. Usually over the phone, and sometimes text, we discuss the particulars to see if we are a good fit. If we're not, I help point them to another place. If the customer wants to proceed, they drop off or mail me the images. I can do a courtesy scan and upload of a few to show what the final results will look like to see if the customer wants to proceed with the order. If it's a go, the job is finished and the final count of images and price is given. They pick up their digital files, pay with cash, check or PayPal and take them home to enjoy them! It's simple and easy to work with Jenni Black at ForeverScanning.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love pictures! My mother took so many when we were kids and I loved to look at them. After a house fire during a semester at college, we lost some photos and my desire to have our pictures digitized was strong. I didn't know what to do, but I knew that I wanted all of them. About 5 years later I bought the Kodak 1220 scanner drove down to visit my Mom 6 hours away and spent all day organizing and scanning the family photos I loved!! It has since expanded to scanning slides and negatives due to the demand of people wanting to preserve their precious pictures from these formats. I truly love what I do! I love the look on clients faces when they pull up their new digitized photos on the computer and breathe a sigh of relief that 'it's done.' Pictures are so important in our lives and preserving them is very exciting!
