FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! Having the opportunity to work in animal shelters, zoos, and veterinary clinics, gives me a chance to expand my knowledge! I have an insight on continuing my education, and that's allowed me to learn more. In particular, animal species, behavior, diets, zoonotic diseses and animal first-aid! I will attend seminars, take class and/or course training, or special certifications, relating to my career. I don't believe you can ever learn too much, and I find it very important to keep up with current events pertaining to my job field. Since this profession can be competative, I want to go above and beyond to show that I am knowledgeable and trustworthy in this occupation! It's just one more way to please my clients, and prove that a good choice matters!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was inevitable. From the time I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to work with animals. My dream then was to become a licensed veterinarian to care for all animals in the world! As time progressed, things changed slightly; however, I never did stray away from wanting to help an animal in need. I used to bring home lost animals, and other critters that I wanted to 'fix' as an aspiring vet, and I was lucky to have a supportive family. As a teenager, I began volunteering at wildlife refuges to gain more exposure. This paved the way for my later positions at zoos, and county animal shelters. Although I never become a veterinarian, my passion for animals has never changed, and is stronger than ever! As I continue to grow and learn, I strive to educate the public and help others understand the love we can share with these wonderful creatures!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our excellent pet sitting service takes the cake! Although we offer other services, such as dog walking, grooming, and basic obedience training, our most common call or inquiry is for pet sitting! And most commonly caring for dogs and/or cats. NCP was founded on watching your beloved pet(s) in the comfort of your own home, while you are away, and we are grateful everyday that we can provide a service to ensure proper care, pawsitive behavior, and comfort to your animal! The less stress, the better! And without having to haul your animal to a boarding facility, and worry whether or not they might come home sick, we encourage you to make a decision based on their happiness! And don't forget, our Pawsitive Watch Team also provides security of your home by being present, and protecting it from unwanted predators. So help us, help you!
