FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am ALWAYS reading and researching ways to improve my work! I obsessively read respected photographer's blogs to see how they achieve a particular "look" or effect and search books and articles for information on how to more efficiently use my equipment.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I really love art- just about every aspect of it. I am a professionally trained dancer and have an absolute appreciation for performing and visual arts. Growing up, I spent much of my time drawing and painting portraits. The subject of my artwork was always people, and I always tried to capture relationships and emotion in my fictitious subjects. It wasn't until I picked up my first DSLR that I realized what an amazing story-telling tool a camera can be! I was immediately hooked on the realism and the time-stopping abilities of my new friend; the rest is history!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It is a lot of work! A lot of people think that an hour or two of shoot time is all a photographer does... it's much more than that. After a shoot, I spend hours carefully color-correcting and balancing each image that I give to you. I tweak contrast-levels, hide blemishes and whiten teeth to make sure you only receive the highest quality work.
