I hired Sophie Mae because I was having professional photo's taken and wanted to look my best. Prior to the shoot I was given fantastic advice about color, style etc that would best suit the environment... Sounds easy... Jump ahead to me realizing I had nothing suitable nor any "color" as I gravitate to black in everything. Another jump ahead to me "last minute shopping", a dressing room meltdown, and a tearful call to Sophie Mae. If you haven't already realized, shopping, for me, is like having a root canal... Never fun and often painful. Sophie Mae (probably sensing my imminent breakdown) took control of the situation, she asked me about my sizes in various styles of dress, told me to go home, relax and just show up in the morning. The next morning I had a complete wardrobe for 4-5 changes. They all fit perfectly, looked fabulous & were within my budget. The beauty of this is we had not met in person until the morning of the photo shoot... Which she styled as well. Her attention to detail, her customer service, her intuition about what works for the individual is spot on.

Sophie worked with me on a closet assessment and re-organization and we went shopping once. The experience was great! I believe working with her will save me money and headaches when finding something to wear for work and events.
First, Sophie showed me how to put things that I already have together, so I dont waste money buying new things when I could mix and match what I already own.
Second, she gave me advice to figure out which pieces are flattering and which pieces are not. Getting all the junk out of my closet helped me to see that I have a lot of things I like. I think it can often feel like theres nothing to wear when you cant see the good pieces through the stuff you dont like to wear.
When we were shopping, Sophie got a sense of my style right away, and she didnt impose a different style on me. She made recommendations about which pieces I would use more oftenwhat was worth the money. Shopping with her saved me time, because she can quickly spot whats good and whats not in a big rack of clothes, and she knows which brands run small or bigwhich means fewer things to try on.
Finally, Sophie has a really nice and professional demeanor. Thanks, Sophie!

Sophie Mae is wonderfully talented, thinking outside of the box with colors, patterns and accessories. She's current with fashion now and perhaps the most comforting thing is that she is not phased by ones personal body opinions. She looks at her clients and knows instantly all the little tricks to make you look great. I think we eliminated all but 10 pieces of my wardrobe on our initial meeting. I feel so happy because I understand now how to shop and what to look for. No more wasting money or shopping on impulse. She also works with any budget and has that clear common sense of an artist who knows her medium. Lastly she's full service and can talk with you about hair and makeup as well. I feel excited and beautiful and can't wait for our shopping trip!

Sophie Mae is wonderful! My schedule is so crazy with family and work that I dont have the time or energy to focus on fashion and shopping. The result was an overwhelming closet full of ill fitting, out of date items and daily stress regarding what to wear. Sophie helped me figure out what had to go and what styles best fit my curvy body. She filled my closet with a beautiful, comfortable and versatile wardrobe while cleverly selecting a combination of items that can mix and match to triple my wardrobe possibilities. Now Im so excited in the mornings to pick out what to wear and every outfit receives compliments. Sophie is a pleasure to work with and I always appreciate her flexibility around my schedule. I cant recommend Sophie enough!

I've always felt like my style was never representing me and after five years of saying, as soon as I lose (insert lbs) I'll go on a shopping spree and never doing it. I felt a little hopeless and after launching my own business last fall I finally decided that I needed to love the body I was in, not the one that I thought I was going to have three or six months from now. I needed a new look that really FELT like me and represented who I am, the style I liked and wanted to achieve, and where I saw myself headed.
I contacted Sophie and she came and examined my closet. I already knew I would be getting rid of a LOT because I had so much I'd held on to from high school for lack of knowing what to buy to replace it. She left me with about 15 things and a laundry list of what we needed which was intimidating, but I was so excited for the shopping trip to come and what I'm most excited about, the look book, which takes the guess work out of what to wear. I sold off what I could and donated the rest.
Sophie was so amazing and sweet we went shopping for two hours and picked out an entire new wardrobe. Keeping in mind I wanted to feel stylish and womanly and age appropriate without looking like a teenager any longer we got a great haul! Sophie was quick to pick out things in the appropriate sizes which made trying everything on a breeze. She made it fun and easy to say no to the things that just didn't work for me. She also kept in mind that I have a 2.5 year old son to run after. All of the things we picked out, with the exception of one dress that I got specifically for business, integrate perfectly into my previous "jeans and a T-shirt" wardrobe. (And on a lower budget) I feel stylish, and put together no matter where I'm headed, be it a business meeting, an event, or the park with my son. Thank you, thank you, thank you Sophie! I would not have been able to do it without you.
I can't recommend her enough! Amazing doesn't come close to capturing it!
