FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out as a traditional illustrator dabbling with oil, pastel and watercolor before moving on to digital. But I've always loved paper as it's such a versatile medium so I did my best to wed the two and the natural progression to that is stationery, packaging, and invitations. I couldn't be happier!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients are segregated in two: stationery, and wedding clients. For the stationery, I design business cards, note sets, letter sets, letter heads, and for the wedding clients: invitations, favors, programs, menus, and decors.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't be afraid to ask questions and right off the bat mention your budget and ask if it is realistic for what you're looking to get. You could be asking a dozen providers and get refused and wonder why only to find out that no one is able to accommodate you with your offer. At the same time, if someone does take you up on your low offer, expect the outcome to be on par with what you paid for because that's usually how that pans out. It's almost next to impossible to get a three-tiered cake for the price of a cupcake and have it taste like four times the price of a plain wedding cake.
