FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been the creative type, coloring, painting, arts and crafts and then I was introduced to design as a profession in a high school class and my passion just grew from there. I especially love taking found objects, or old furniture and re-purposing or giving new life to them.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do mostly interior consultations, from just paint colors all the way to kitchen remodels. I would say the most trouble people have, and why they hire an Interior Designer, is choosing a color palette, furniture and overall tying it all together.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Kitchen Remodel: My clients wanted to keep their cabinets, but breathe new life into their kitchen. It sounds easy, but it is actually harder than starting from scratch. So we changed the countertops, fixtures: from lighting to plumbing and hardware, we also gave them a modern updated backsplash and tied in their desk workspace with the rest of the kitchen. In addition, a few organizational add ons to their cabinets made a world of difference when it came time to cooking for the entire family.
