FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is essential in this line of work. A stylist must always keep up with new technological advancements so that they can offer their clients the best service possible. This type of continuing education is properly acquired through accredited training and not via YouTube so make sure to check with your stylist on their credentials.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs that I do for my clients include, relaxers, hair weaving, extensions and lace wigs.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be patient! Many clients see or hear about a service that they like but that does not mean that the particular service that they are interested in is the right service for them. Many services that are not correctly performed can cause damage especially if the service provider is not well versed in the particular area. Ask questions, you can tell the level of knowledge the provider has simply by the way they answer your questions. If they seem as if they are trying to push you into the sale without asking pertinent question, be afraid. Finally most extension techniques require a consultation in efforts to see exactly what must be done before an accurate price or quote is given; therefore patience is definitely a virtue.
