I'm a recent Stanford graduate who is excited to get back in to tutoring after finishing my doctorate. I have eight years of experience in tutoring students from middle to undergraduate in Science and Math. I TA'd extensively at Stanford (PhD Chemistry '15) and UC Berkeley (B.S. Chemistry with honors '09) where I taught lab and discussion sections in general, organic and physical chemistry. I am also currently working as an assistant math teacher at a high school near Burlingame.
I have taken classes in the education department at UC Berkeley where I studied the process of learning and engaging students.
I also worked for a Kaplan test prep company where I underwent a six week teacher training course focused on test taking strategies.
I was an instructor and tutor for Willard Middle Schools Youth Support Program where I taught small classes and tutored struggling students individually.
I have been an exhibits facilitator at The Tech Museum in San Jose and the Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley where I got to teach science to visitors of all ages.
My approach is to teach students how to break down and solve problems to become successful on their own rather than just give them the answers.
