I listen to my clients and incorporate their ideas and wishes into the session - providing them with images they will cherish. I also don't coerce clients to fit my schedule. I work with their schedule and always remain flexible. I like making people feel special, beautiful and offering them a tangible memory they can hold for many years to come. FACTOID: When asked the ONE thing they would take from their home, if it was on fire, most people replied -- their PHOTOGRAPHS. I am the person who can provide you with photos worth saving. As a bonus, I archive all photo sessions for 2-3 years. If your home should burn (Heaven forbid), I can provide reprints. :-)

Charlie photographed my 14 year old daughter at a paparazzi style shoot-out in Charleston, SC. Many of the photographers in attendance snapped a few pictures and then moved on. Not Charlie! He took the time to talk to my daughter and explain to her the concept that he had in mind. He was patient and worked with her to create some amazing images. He definitely went above and beyond,... a year later, my daughter has now worked with numerous photographers,... but Charlie remains a favorite!!!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system isn't set in stone, but it isn't complicated either. Generally, I charge a base session rate to cover my time, equipment use and utilities. The remainder is dependent on the deliverables (online, printed photos, album, downloads, etc).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone or in-person consultation first. The next step is to photograph. Then, review images. Lastly, receipt of any deliverables by the customer. Everything is easygoing, but professional.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am a member of the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC), SEPPA and the North Carolina Press Association (NCPA), among other groups. I constantly attend seminars, workshops and classes around the southeast. Also, I regularly attend online webinars and review tutorials to help me become even better at my craft. There is always something new to learn -- and I am hungry to glean new skills and hone those I already possess.
