Introduction: I have taught and choreographed for 15 years. I specialize in wedding choreography. I love being a part of one of the most important days of people's lives and getting to be a part of that joy. My wife and I worked with Tayler for our wedding first dance. We had a free introductory call with her at the beginning to let her know what we wanted to do for our dance which was to start with a slow dance, and then move to a surprise, up-beat fast song. We decided to do 5 lessons with her over the course of about a month (all took place in Central Park) which produced 3 minutes of a choreographed dance and was a huge hit with all of our guests at the wedding. Because the lessons were outside in Central Park, there was some re-scheduling that needed to be done because of potential rain but Tayler was always flexible and accommodating in those situations. Tayler was awesome throughout the entire process. She had a great, personable and up-beat attitude and explained all of the dance moves very comfortably. We gave her the songs we wanted to dance to, and she came up with the style and choreography entirely for us. Neither of us had a ton of dance experience so she started us with the basics and then built on top of that. At the end of every lesson, she recorded us dancing what we had learned that day so we could look back on it throughout the week while we practiced. The dance lessons were a great escape from all the craziness that's involved during wedding planning and we really enjoyed our time with her! Last thing I'll say is to make sure to practice in between lessons! You're going to get the most out of your time with her if you show up to the next lesson with what you learned last time memorized and comfortable so you can spend time with her learning new stuff and not going over old stuff. I would highly recommend hiring Tayler. Was well worth the money!

Tayler is AMAZING! My fiancé at the time and I decided to take a couple dance lessons prior to our wedding just so we didn't look completely awkward during our first dance. And when I say prior to our wedding... I mean 1 week prior haha. Tayler took on the challenge and choreographed such a fairly tale dance for the both of us over a course of 3 lessons. She was patient, kind, and so extremely knowledgeable. Everyone loved our first dance and said they couldn't tell we took on last minute lessons :) thank you so much Tayler!!!

Friendly, engaging, perceptive, responsive, supportive teacher who made learning fun, effective and relaxing and who exhibited warmth and encouragement all the time. Tayler made easy what was new for us. Her choreography for a bride-groom dance and a mother-son dance was creative and perfectly matched our style interests and abilities. We could not have been happier with the entire experience or the results- it’s a delight to watch and re-watch our videos of the dances and our guests’ happy wide-eyed smiles and cheers, and we will always cherish these moments that Tayler made possible for us! My husband and I had the best experience with Tayler. She was so patient and kind. She choreographed our first dance for our wedding. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciated it. She explained how much nicer it looks as opposed to the typical “prom sway” lol and boy was she right! The compliments we received afterwards was amazing! I loved the lessons I even learned about allowing the man to lead and how much it correlated with marriage. Even paying close attention to direction and details. She made us feel comfortable and made us feel like dancers. I felt like a princess and my husband looked like a prince. She even had us do a lift and a dip. I never thought I’d effectively be able to do either, in fact I kind of shied away from doing it. But thinking it through, I knew we’d only have one wedding so I thought why not try it. Tayler is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about her!! She’s kind, patient, and fun! To give you some background, I’m clumsy... if there’s something to trip over, I’ll find it. If Tayler can make me look graceful, she can help anyone! Also, my fiancé previously hated dancing, but even he had a good time at our lessons. He used to kindly humor me with one slow dance per event... and that was basically us swaying back and forth like awkward kids at junior prom. If it weren’t for Tayler, our first dance would have been 4 minutes of that! Luckily, I found her on this app and she got back to me right away. She taught us some beautiful moves and choreographed our entire first dance for us. It turned out lovely!! The wedding is this coming Monday and I think I might be more excited for this dance than the actual ceremony! So in conclusion, I highly recommend Tayler!! She made learning so much fun and we feel so confident now. I’m actually kind of sad that our lessons are over.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The way I usually get started with my students is by doing an introductory lesson where we will discuss your goals, learn some basics, and figure out a game plan for you. After the lesson, we will go over the packages I offer. I will give you my recommendations from a teachers perspective, however, what you decide is totally up to you and no pressure! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelor's degree from USC in musical theatre. I have been trained in DVIDA syllabus for ballroom and have been a trained choreographer through multiple dance studios.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started as a dancer. A director saw my dancing and felt that I would do a great job as a choreographer. She gave me an opportunity and word spread that I was good. Since then it has been word of mouth. As a wedding dance choreographer, I was given an opportunity to give it a shot at an award winning studio and became their lead choreographer and manager. Since then I have been in love with choreographing first dances for weddings!
