- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fee based on time of day, morning is the lowest rate. My hourly rate from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM is only $50./hr. My evening rates are between $60. and $70./hr. depending on the topic. Rate also varies on how many times a week I tutor a student. I give a discount for multiple lessons per week.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take time in the beginning to get to know each student. My style conforms to the needs of each one of my students. I assess what areas of strengths they have as well as what topics they need help with. Then I set out and show specific strategies to use to solve various problems. I use a specific list of problem solving strategies which are extremely beneficial in solving word problems.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my education degree from St. Joseph's University. I earned my M.B.A. from Rutgers University. I earned my masters in Psychology from Indiana State University. I've been teaching for over 20 years. I have taught at colleges, high schools and middle schools. This unique experience of having been involved in all levels of mathematics education makes it possible for me to relate to each individual student at their level in language and examples that they understand and relate to.
