Mr. Wurst is a phenomenal instructor. Overqualified in every musical respect, Mr. Wurst teaches singers of all ages and experience levels using lessons specifically catered to what the student needs. My experience has always been stellar with Mr. Wurst; I have worked with him since high school, and have continued working with him into college as I study at a School of Music. My own teaching philosophy is that teachers will always be learners too, and that no amount of experience should stop them from further growing as an educator. This is something Mr. Wurst consistently displays as he becomes more familiar with each of his individual singers' unique musical experiences. Additionally, Mr. Wurst is great at building confidence. I firmly believe that Mr. Wurst played a vital role in my ability to perform for larger and larger crowds (especially now that I study music at a collegiate level) and that because of his intentional mixture of professionalism and playful banter, I loosened up as a singer (both in nerves and in posture!) through the years that I have sung with him. No matter what your experience level is with singing, Mr. Wurst will always find an aspect of your abilities to transform into the best it can possibly be.

Mr. Wurst is one of the best teachers I know. He's extremely personable and perceptive to student's needs. He helps them improve their musical skills by knowing the roots of a student's problem areas and helps build confidence in their musicianship. He values each of his students and wants them to succeed and it's easy to tell by the way he teaches, the way he talks to students, and the way he talks about teaching.
